Experience
I do not have previous experience in tutoring but I have always loved working with younger kids. In my volunteer experience I have greatly focused on working with kids whether they be in elementary or junior high. I did tutor a friend of mine here at Iowa State in her Algebra class, which she ended up being able to move to a faster track because of my help. Learning is a love of mine and I enjoy helping others learn as well. I got an overall ACT score of 28 but separate scores were a 27 in English, 31 in Math, 30 in Reading, and a 28 in Science. These scored are over a course of 4 ACT tests. This fall semester at Iowa State I am taking 16 credits and working on top of that. This past summer I was selected to do an internship on campus. I worked with a faculty member all summer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering on determining if there was any chemical change on the tip of a cantilever in an atomic force microscope. Because of my internship this past summer, I was able to start working in a different faculty member's lab researching. We do a lot with fuel injectors and sprays and x-rays.

Hobbies
My favorite sports are soccer and bowling. I have played soccer since I was 8 years old and I started competitive bowling my sophomore year of high school. I still ever so often pick up a soccer game to play on central campus and go bowling in the Memorial Union every Monday night. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends and watching movies.
