My bachelor's degree is in Chinese Language and Literature in China.I Hold a Teaching Certificate for K-12 in China.I am working on getting a Teaching Certificate in Iowa.I speak standard Mandarin Chinese.In the Test of Putonghua (Mandarin Chinese) Proficiency Level which is administered by the Chinese government, I scored First class- second level.

Experience

As a private tutor,I instructed students from pre-school to high school level; I used a variety of techniques to engage students and strove to create a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. As a Chinese teacher, I've taught 8th graders in China.I have also been a Chinese teaching assistant,conducting weekly Chinese practice lab sessions for a year in Drake University. I love the Chinese language and I also love to share my knowledge of the Chinese language and culture with others.
