I graduated with a Math major and Stat minor and General Business minor. My major GPA was 3.61 by the time I graduated. With my strong application, I was admitted as a graduate student in Applied Math by ISU with Teaching Assistantship starting Fall 2011. I worked for Iowa State University as a Supplemental Instructor and tutor for various math classes for over 2 years when I was an undergraduate student here at ISU. As a Supplemental Instruction Leader, My job included : • Prepare in advance for the session for a full 50 minutes and facilitate 3 sessions a week with Calc 3 students • Use interactive learning strategies to facilitate student learning of course content & study strategies. • Actively recruit students to attend the sessions through a variety of promotions. • Observe other SI Leaders' sessions and complete peer observation forms and co-facilitate sessions with other peer Leaders. I have taken the majority of advanced undergrad math classes and excelled on all of them, I am also capable of tutoring all undergrad math classes. I loved teaching since the day I started tutoring my first student.
