Previous tutoring experiences: I currently have a tutor myself for Biology 211 and I have learned what makes for an effective tutor, and what helps the student. I would love to be a tutor because I am considering becoming a teacher and I am taking a CI class. I think tutoring would help me greatly with bonding and helping other students to study and learn. I have taken four of Spanish, and I come from a Spanish speaking background. I understand Spanish can be difficult so I know how to break things down, and help them write in Spanish, as well. I took pre-calc my senior year, as well as Anatomy and I intend to major in Anatomy. I was in Band since 5th grade playing the Clarinet, and the Bass Clarinet. I was in Marching Band and Pep Band in high school. I was also in Choir since the 6th grade. I have taken two Psychology classes in high school and I am currently in Psych 280 at Iowa State; Psych 280 is a social psych. I am also in psych 131 which is a study skills, learning, time management and motivation course.
