Education
I am currently a junior at Iowa State University majoring in Spanish education and minoring in Music. I am a very good student who is very involved on campus and the Ames community. I was a 4.0 student in high school, graduated second in my class, and I am currently on the Dean's list with a 3.75 GPA.
Experience
In high school, tutored my friends and others in my community mainly with Spanish and music. I also took multiple AP classes and have experience with the ACT tests. I want to be a tutor because I want to gain experience in the teaching field. I have taken multiple Spanish classes including: grammar, phonology, literature, Latin American civilizations, and Spain today. I stand out from others in Spanish because I recently studied abroad. I spent last summer in Valencia, Spain taking classes at the Universitat de València. In high school, I also studied abroad in Merida, Mexico at the Institute of Modern Spanish. During both of these experiences, I lived with host families, which greatly improved my speaking skills. My experience with music classes include: music theory, music history, voice, and instrumental (alto saxophone).
