I will be attending Iowa State University this fall as a Freshman. My plan is to be a Math or Business Major with a double major in French. I graduated West Delaware High School with a 3.944 on a 4.0 scale and finished in the top 10% of my class.
Experience
I began tutoring in Math for a 3rd grade girl my Junior year of high school. Not only did she struggle with Math, but her self-confidence was incredibly low because of it. After a few months of working different techniques with her, her teacher approached me and said my student seemed more happy and confident in the classroom. Since I love learning and achieving good grades, I would love to help tutor kids in the hopes they can feel confident in school. My ACT Score: Composite: 27 Math: 26 English: 29 Science: 22 Reading: 33 Writing: 26 High School Classes: Math: Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre- Calculus, Calculus, Statistics English: English (I,II,III), Advanced Writing Individualized Reading, College Composition Language: Four years of French Other: Won 1st place as a sophomore in the Eastern Iowa Poetry Contest (which I accepted at ISU!) Took a college placement exam for French and scored high enough to be placed in a junior level French class at ISU.
