Education

I completed my masters in science in Mechanical Engineering in 2018. I received my bachelors in science from Iowa State University in 2011 where I majored in Mathematics with a minor in Astronomy Physics. Working through the STEM subjects at Khan Academy to qualify for all High School STEM Subjects and some college level courses.

Experience

Before graduating I tutored for the Academic Success Center at Iowa State University in the subjects of calculus and classical physics. My sessions were 1-2 hours 2 times a week and I would tutor 1-4 students at a time. During the sessions I would recap the past lectures then go through exercises related to the material taught. Relevant courses include: -Abstract Algebra II (Math 302) -Introduction to the Theory of Probability and Statistics I (STAT 341) -Introduction to Partial Differential Equations (Math 385) -Complex Variables with Applications (Math 365) -Abstract Algebra I (Math 301) -Theory of Linear Algebra (Math 317) -Introduction to Proofs (Math 201) -Elementary Differential Equations and Laplace Transforms (Math 267) -Introduction to Classical Physics I (Phys 221) -Introduction to Classical Physics II (Phys 222) - Calculus III (Math 265) After college I was a second education mathematics volunteer with Peace Corps in the country Guinea, Conakry. There I taught roughly 200 students in the 8-12 grade mathematics and prepared them for the Brevet des Collèges. I had to be proficient in French before I could start teaching and took an 11 week training course in the language. While pursuing my Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering I have gain understanding in: - Fundamentals in Biorenewable Resources (BRT 501) - Advanced Combustion (ME 542) - Statistical Methods for Research (STAT 401) - Advanced Thermodynamics (M E 530) - Advanced Heat and Mass Transfer (M E 536) For any further information about me or my resume you can check out my LinkedIn page listed below. www.linkedin.com/in/krusematthewmark/
