Spent a year studying in Germany, fluent speaker. Received an A in highest-level German course at ISU. Score of 4 received on English Language and Composition AP test, Score of 5 received on English Literature and Composition test. Currently taking college-level English classes, have received grades of A- on every paper thus far. I want to be a tutor because I want to use my skills to help better the education of those in my community. I want to build a relationship between myself and my client. I spent time tutoring a girl in my neighborhood while studying in Germany, teaching her English by explaining - in German -the rules and semantic subtleties of my native language. This was very challenging, but kindled a desire to continue with tutoring. Also, I feel this is a productive way to raise money for tuition and board at ISU. I wish I could afford to do this for free, but it's not financially feasible for me. Please give me a chance to help you while helping me pay for my own education.

Hobbies
I love languages. I love the challenge of learning them, the way they function, they way they evolve, they way they build into each other. My dream is to learn a small, little-known language from a developing country. I am teaching myself Spanish and Greek right now, and am attaining a small amount of fluency in Spanish through practicing with native speakers online. I also enjoy volunteering with my church, getting to know new people, talking to strangers, bike-riding, knitting, and singing in choir.
