I am currently a Junior at Iowa State University majoring in Marketing, International Business, and Spanish.
Experience
I have been studying Spanish for 6 years, including 4 years throughout high school. While at Iowa State, I have been an active participant in Friendships International, a program in which I have met with a couple of international students in an attempt to teach them English while learning more about Spanish and their specific cultures. In addition, I worked as an interpreter during various breaks from school at the Vision Care Clinic in my hometown of Denison, IA. I have also taken 4 classes at the 300-level and, because of this, I am able to construct well-written essays and effectively communicate via all the modes of communication (oral, listening, writing). This July, I left for Heredia, Costa Rica for four months from mid-July-November 26 to improve my cognitive Spanish abilities and to amplify my international business and marketing knowledge. I would like to be a tutor as I have a passion for the Spanish language and a passion as well for helping others succeed. If I receive the opportunity of being your tutor, I will do my best to help you develop your proficiency in the language, or, help in the realm of International Business and Marketing.
